Description:
My first German made machine. Wow. Now I can't stop acquiring them. Precision. Endurance. Solid. Smooth. Comfortable. Good type. ... and more. When I need to type something special I reach for a Hermes and any German machine. (T065)

I have always enjoyed tinkering with mechanical "things". For a number of years my wife wanted an IBM Selectric, The machine she used many years ago as a secretary. In 2020 we found one at an auction and bought it for $15. It took another $150 for the typewriter repairman to get it working. That turned out to be T001 in our collection. In the beginning we bought whatever we found. Now I am concentrating on the portables rather than the older office machines. The collection is getting large and it is time to start posting on TWDB.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Rheinmetall KsT on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Rheinmetall Serial Number page and the Rheinmetall KsT By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
