Description:
No. 8 in my collection. Remington Quiet-Riter. It had some numbers written on it with what I think must have been permanent marker. I got it off, but the color of that area is a little changed. I'm not sure I've damaged the paint, or have just cleaned off some nicotine residue...
Another totally adequate typewriter, with complete case in fair condition. Types perfectly fine. Feels like this is about when the American manufacturers figured everything out, with easily set tabs and margins, good action, and good ergonomics.
Another Goodwill auction acquisition. Shipped from Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Relatively new to collecting. Would like to document my collection.
Planning on sticking to full-sized American machines so I don't spend too much on fancy European portables.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington Quiet-Riter on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington Quiet-Riter By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
