1954 Princess (Keller und Knappich) Standard Serial # 446,936 1954 Princess (Keller und Knappich) Standard typewriter, Serial # 446,936 David Sgriccia's 1954 Princess (Keller und Knappich) Standard typewriter. 2024-12-21 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of David Sgriccia: 1954 Princess (Keller und Knappich) Standard Serial # 446,936 Acquired in California. An absolute beauty. Clean as if it just came out of the box. This is just about the best Ultra portable I have ever used. This machine is very heavy for its size and I think that explains why it is a charm to use. T119

I have always enjoyed tinkering with mechanical "things". For a number of years my wife wanted an IBM Selectric, The machine she used many years ago as a secretary. In 2020 we found one at an auction and bought it for $15. It took another $150 for the typewriter repairman to get it working. That turned out to be T001 in our collection. In the beginning we bought whatever we found. Now I am concentrating on the portables rather than the older office machines. The collection is getting large and it is time to start posting on TWDB.
