Description:
A very unusual specimen......this first series (black round keys) Olivetti Lettera 22 is an L version (without tabulator) but strangely it is in light blue and not in the usual, for 22L, brown. Other peculiarity, it has the embossed Olivetti logo on the paper rest, but this is usually found only in the very early 1950s models, not in 1954.....Note the beautiful "Lettera" font.

I have been an Italian typewriter collector for many many years. At that time, I loved very old typewriters from late 1800s to early 1900s. After a break of a few years I returned to collect typewriters but no longer so old, I prefer now the design of the 40's, 50's and 60's. Yes, I am an affectionate collector of Olivetti, of course, but I'm attracted to all the other brands from that period, not just Italian.
