Description:
Gossen Tippa
Made in Germany
QWERTY Keyboard
One of the finest typing typewriters I have in my collection and ever used.
Being a flat ultraportable I thought it may not be as nice to use as a larger machine. Once I tried it I thought I was using one of my Underwood typewriters! This little typewriter is a very pleasing machine to use. Others have stated how good these typewriters are. I had to find out. I am not disappointed in the least. Gives my Skyriters some serious competition.
I do not know if Tippa called the Ransmayer-Rodrian typeface Congress Elite or not. I used Congress since several other typewriter manufacturers that used RaRo 84 slugs called it that. The pitch is 1/12" : elite.
Mine came with the office briefcase, erasure guide, instruction book, and eraser-brush.

Among many interests I like typewriters.
I presently have over 90 in my collection. I am slowly getting them photographed and uploaded to this site.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Gossen Tippa on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Gossen Serial Number page and the Gossen Tippa By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
