Description:
A Smith Corona Sterling, re-badged for the T.E. Eaton Company (Eaton's) for sale in Canada in 1955. It has the 'EATON'S' logo on the ribbon cover as well as embossed stripes similar to those found on the SC 'Silents' of that era. The ribbon covered had a large blob of whiteout and pencil markings which cleaned up nicely.

I am located in the Foothills of the Rocky Mountains
I bought a typewriter for the sole purpose of journaling and writing with no thought given to working on them as a hobby. On a whim, I purchased a second typewriter, which I knew needed some cleaning and adjustment. I discovered that this exercise took me back to simpler times when I maintained electromechanical switching equipment in my early days of telephony.
Typewriters: a collection of complex Rube Goldberg contraptions that collectively perform a simple function, to put ink to paper. How wonderful is that?
