Description:
In terms of their design, I consider the Underwood standards produced during the late '40s and early '50s to be underrated, not to mention often overlooked by most collectors.
The art deco touches and flowing lines of the Underwood machines from this era are a joy to look whenever I'm struggling to find the right words to end a chapter with.
I've logged this machine in my own database as a SX-100 Rhythm Touch, but I;m beginning to wonder if that model name is correct. At some point during the early '50s - according to some claims - the SX-100 replaced the Rhythm Touch in the Underwood line-up. If this is true then combining the model names would be a misnomer.
This particular Underwood was built during the first half of 1953. In October of the same year the SX-150 was introduced.
