1953 Smith Corona Skyriter

Full Working Condition. This is one of my absolute favorite typewriters. I love the way that it types, especially for such a small and compact machine. It flows well, it leaves good indentation on the page. The only issue is that it squeaks a bit, some metal rubbing within the machine I reckon. Still my number 1 pick for a travel sized typewriter so far. -- Also, I was able to use velcro to add a thin layer of leathering inside the shell of the case to keep a few pieces of paper inside.

Though I have had a love for typewriters since I was a kid (in the 90's) I didn't start collecting in earnest until 2020 (having had 3 typewriters still in my posession and several long gone). Since then, I have become an avid collector, focusing primarily on fully functional manual typewriters. After collecting more than 30, I determined that my favorite Brand overall is Smith Corona and I attempt to hone my collection in that direction. Here's the preservation of one of the best storytellers we've ever known!!
