I got this 1952 Underwood SS (and metal typing table to go with it) for free in Emmaus, Pennsylvania back in 2015. I think it was when I was still in denial about my typewriter addiction, and so I justified getting it by saying it was for my son. It really was--and is. He showed some interest in typing even though he was maybe only 10 at the time. So all of our kids have a typer, and this one's his.
