Description:
This is my first typewriter. Bought it off a Facebook Marketplace deal from a gentleman. He mentioned this was his Mother's typewrite. Got it as a combo with a Brother typewriter. This particular machine has the Rupee currency symbol so it must have been purchased in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka or Nepal. Cleaned areas accessible externally but did not open the machine and replaced the ribbon. Surprisingly, sticky keys are no more and functioned perfectly. The Hermes baby has a very snappy keystroke - a lovely tactile typing experience. The carriage skips when typing too quickly.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Hermes Baby on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Hermes Serial Number page and the Hermes Baby By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
