Description:
Nice Skyriter. I'm not 100% sure where I got this as I was frenzy purchasing a few years ago and bought every one that was $50 or less in the area. Can't go wrong with a Skyriter.

Dad, typewriter nerd, disc golfer, musician and an all around swell guy that lives in Port Moody BC Canada. I bought my first machine in around 1997 for $5 (Underwood 6) and restored it in a small cabin I lived in. I had it for the past 24 years when my 8 year old daughter asked if it worked, I brought it down off the shelf and she started playing with it. I then saw on FB Marketplace a 1916 LC Smith that needed a ton of work for $50, and that hooked me, 24 months later I have 160+ machines and have plans for all of them. Fantastic hobby. I love them being so Analog. I have recently collaborated with Dave Benning, a good friend and local artist, to create some custom hand painted works of "workable" art. I restore the typewriter while Dave gives it some new "clothes".
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Corona Skyriter on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Corona Serial Number page and the Smith Corona Skyriter By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
