Description:
This machine types real nicely. Its only major defect is that the bell doesn't ring. A metal piece on the ringer is broken. The ribbons use the usual Remington special spools (or could use the special ribbon top). The KMC system is pretty cool. To set the margins, you move the carriage to one side, then press and hold KMC. That grabs the margin stop, and moving the carriage moves the stop. Then, release KMC and that's where the margin stop will be. It works the same on left and right margins.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington Super-Riter on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington Super-Riter By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
