Description:
The All New and early Quiet-Riter is my favorite machine for aesthetics, typing action, ease of repair, quality of design and build of the American built mid-century portables.
They can be had for $9.99 and are fun to work on. All the AN's and QR's in my collection have come from Goodwill online bidding. Goodwill is getting better at packing machines for shipment. I have a theory that some collectors may avoid this label because of it's name association with a gun manufacturer. The cases that come with this vintage are very strong and attractive also.

Can't figure out humans but I can tinker with mechanical things. Typewriter passion has become nearly an obsession. Keep a spreadsheet of my collection and rotate daily typer occasionally to exercise the herd. All my machines are cleaned, lubed, adjusted and in working order. My mentors are local shop owners in PDX.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington All-New on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington All-New By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
