Description:
Received as a gift from Mary Echevarria. (Her gallery of the same typewriter is linked below.) The early date is confirmed by the embossed brand label on the paper table and by the uncommon S-prefixed serial number, a leftover from the rare "Scribe" model that was essentially a test model of the Lettera 22.

Resident of Portland, Oregon since 2015. Mostly interested in semi-portables of the '30s, '40s, and '50s (the late glass key top through late pre-electric eras), with a special interest in unusual or distinctive typefaces other than techno and script. Always learning!
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olivetti Lettera 22 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olivetti Serial Number page and the Olivetti Lettera 22 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
