Description:
This is an underestimated machine. It is a successor to the "S". I got it for pretty cheap, but it turned out gorgeous.
This is the first time I really had to fix something major: I replaced the escapement wheel from another machine (ball bearings flying around!). I also replaced all the soundproofing material inside. I even had the old material tested for asbestos, and luckily there was no trace of that.
It is a really good machine, and I love the color scheme with the white and green keys. Also note the lowercase "underwood" decals.

I started collecting my first pre-WW2 standard typewriters in 2017. Since then I have added a few machines to my collection, which now ranges from the 1880s to the 1980s. As of 2024, I have more big standard (desktop) typewriters than portables, a few standard electrics, and some unusual machines like Varitypers, uncommon IBM machines, and more. I am not a pro restorer, but I have restored a few of my machines beyond simple cleaning.
