Description:
My wonderful father in law, Carlton Gamer, passed away in July (2023) at the age of 94. When we went to Colorado for his memorial service, I was gifted his college typewriter, a 1949 SC Silent. It is in immaculate condition. It will be gently cleaned and used with love but, primarily, it will be a treasured display piece honoring a man who will be missed by all who loved him.

Hello, I am recently retired and have relocated to sunny Arizona from many years of living in the Pacific Northwest. Of course, I'm at an age where I grew up with typewriters and they have always had a special place in my heart. I recall my dad having an old manual Royal that has long since been lost to time and house moves. My unicorn is a (working) Olivetti Praxis 48. My mom "upgraded" to that machine from her manual and I can still remember writing papers on that beautiful typewriter. I lost her a few years ago and I would love to hunt an old Praxis down to relive some of those wonderful childhood memories.
I am new to collecting and only have a few so far, but I am always excited to search nooks and crannies for long forgotten treasures. I am so happy to be a part of this family!
