Description:
This is an interesting 1949 Royal KMG with the Dreyfus tombstone keys. I bought it in November, 2020, from a renovations guy in Broomall, Pennsylvania. What's curious is that it has a QWERTY keyboard, but also German accent keys and German writing on the keytops. According to a paper "property of" sticker that was affixed to the front, it was once owned by the Muhlenberg Weekly, which was (is) the student weekly newspaper at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. After fixing this one up, I turned around and placed it with the Colonial Theater in Phoenixville, PA, where the 1958 Steve McQueen sci-fi movie "The Blob" was filmed, as a similar grey 1949 Royal KMG appears in the police-station scenes.
