Description:
Remington All-New 1949 model without tab. Had to replace the RH margin stop and bell trip lever (was bent all to hell). The factory set screw in the collar that stops the assembly for end-line/margin release was loose; caused the whole assembly to open wide and jam everything up. After some forming, I got the action back in line. The machine also needed a few plastic lever tips, which I harvested from a donor machine. Update 3/20/25 I sold this machine to a guy named John.

I've fixed and sold many typewriters. There are three that I love to use for writing: 1930 Underwood No.5. 195 1 Remington Quiet-Riter, 1971 Hermes 3000.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington All-New on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington All-New By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
