Description:
Remington All-New 1949 model without tab. Had to replace the RH margin stop and bell trip lever (was bent all to hell). The factory set screw in the collar that stops the assembly for end-line/margin release was loose; caused the whole assembly to open wide and jam everything up. After some forming I got the action back in line. The machine also needed a few plastic lever tips, which I harvested from a donor machine.

After finding a Smith-Corona Coronet 12 at a curb-side (in Winter while walking the dog) I carried it home; after it thawed out and started coming back to life I was hooked. My interest in this hobby lead to taking two parts typewriters to create one good unit. This typewriter aliment is (pretty much) in-curable!
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington All-New on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington All-New By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
