Description:
I found this gem at a moving sale. The seller was the original owner's daughter who stated that her mother bought it in the late '40s for a college typewriter. She seemed a bit sad to see it go, so I promised her that I would clean it up and even if I didn't use it everyday, to prominently display it in my home in honor of her mom. It cleaned up very well and types beautifully. (Submitted picture taken before cleaning.)

Hello, I am recently retired and have relocated to sunny Arizona from many years of living in the Pacific Northwest. Of course, I'm at an age where I grew up with typewriters and they have always had a special place in my heart. I recall my dad having an old manual Royal that has long since been lost to time and house moves. My unicorn is a (working) Olivetti Praxis 48. My mom "upgraded" to that machine from her manual and I can still remember writing papers on that beautiful typewriter. I lost her a few years ago and I would love to hunt an old Praxis down to relive some of those wonderful childhood memories.
I am new to collecting and only have a few so far, but I am always excited to search nooks and crannies for long forgotten treasures. I am so happy to be a part of this family!
