Description:
Clippers are among my favorite typewriters, and yes, it is partly due to the great decal. So even though I've had a half dozen of them, I couldn't pass up this one in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia in March of 2024. The seller said it came from a friend's mother-in-law, who was a hoarder, and he was charged with selling-off some of her collection. Upon deeper investigation, however, it looks as though the original owner was Maj. A.W. Brock, who was seen pictured with Orville Wright. https://corescholar.libraries.wright.edu/special_ms1_photographs/961/
Normally, I prefer to take pictures in sunlight or snow, but I picked this one up in a very cool, very old, very rocky section of Philadelphia, so even though it was pouring down rain, I thought it'd be worth opening the case and snapping a few profile shots, before quickly toweling it off.
