Description:
Purchased at an antique shop in October 2015. I had gone to look at a portable, which was in poor shape. They directed me to this beauty and acted as if it was a less desirable machine.
Note that I have it listed as a Remington even though it says Underwood- that is not an error. My research led me to believe that Remington put this model out there as an Underwood as well.
I find it interesting that the ribbon advances on these machines even when you space bar, Tab, or use the carriage release. Carriage skips every now and then. This is most probably the heaviest machine I own - it weighs 45 pounds! See my blog entry for more info and pics (link below).
