Description:
A barn find I found tucked in amongst a bunch of junk at an antique store. As it had no carrying case, all manner of 'stuff ' was found during the clean. The top cover cleaned up nicely but marks remained as I could not get them off. I really like these machines.

I bought a typewriter for the sole purpose of journaling and writing with no thought given to working on them as a hobby. On a whim, I purchased a second typewriter, which I knew needed some cleaning and adjustment. I discovered that this exercise took me back to simpler times when I maintained electromechanical switching equipment in my early days of telephony.
Typewriters: a collection of complex Rube Goldberg contraptions that collectively perform a simple function, to put ink to paper. How wonderful is that?
