Description:
Royal KMM, serial number KMM 3006981. Obtained from estate sale in Ohio in December 2005. This is my 1st typewriter.
This machine was manufactured in 1941 and rebuilt sometime in the early 50s. Among the changes were the addition of green plastic keys, replacing the Royal type basket with an Underwood pica, and painting the black body a steel-gray color. This machine was in fairly rough shape by the time I obtained it, and I restored it to its original black color in the summer of 2012.
