A nice Envoy that came down the line very near the end of production in 12/1942. But wait, I thought there weren't any typewriters made during the war? Last machine manufactured #S1,224,731 (Ilion Letter 12/15/42).
By taking the March 42 to Dec 42 total and dividing by 9.5, you arrive at 3.247 per month. So this would be an Aug of 42 manufactured machine if that speculative production scenario were fact.
