Description:
Bought it for 120$ at an antique store and I think it was worth it, had to do vary little restoration and it types well, and with this machine, I've discovered that just about all pre 50s Underwood standards are mostly just the sane machine. Although I do like this chrome.

Hi, I started collecting typewriters in my early teens . One day I stumbled across an antique store on my way home, I saw a typewriter outside the shop and I urged my Mother to pull over so I could check it out. I don't know where this intrigue can from but after that machine I became fascinated with them. I figured I should mention that, most people seem to get into this hobby for nostalgia, I just like mechanical things.
I started a Youtube channel called The Jersey Type

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Underwood S on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Underwood Serial Number page and the Underwood S By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
