Description:
I got this Envoy last week after debating whether or not I should buy it for some time.
Once I got it home I had a problem with the escapement not working correctly, but found an adjustment behind the carriage on the left side that adjusts the "escapement rack."
With this problem solved, the only issues I have now are finding a spring so that the return lever will return on its own after it is released and the need for new feed rollers.
But this machine lives up to what I have come to expect of these Remington 'geared-typebar' machines. They are grand machines and I would recommend them to anyone.
Left the collection on 10/22/2017.

I started collecting typewriters several years ago and it started with a late 1960s Smith-Corona Sterling portable that I got as a gift.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington Envoy on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington Envoy By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
