Description:
Excellent as found condition. Square feed rollers and shiny platen won't feed paper, otherwise it would type. Number made: 19,237.
==========================================
Feed rollers and a few other bits from a clipped Model 5 and she's good to go. Boy the sheet metal skin lets out an interesting cacophony of sound. The Deluxe has a longer carriage return lever, a left side platen knob and a larger paper table.
Note the ads on Dec 9 and Dec 11, 1941. In 1938 the msrp was $29.95 ($671) and you could get the super budget Monarch Pioneer for $19.95 ($448).

Typewriters are the perfect blend of using one's technical skills, history and functional purpose. My goal is type tested machines. My interests are not isolated to anyone area. For example, I am a big fan of Smith Corona electrics, mid century electrics and all things Royal.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington Deluxe Remette on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington Deluxe Remette By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
