Description:
Unable to take a typeface sample as this poor machine is in terrible disrepair. Will require a full tear down and cleaning over time, and would've even if the delivery service hadn't dropped the box and bent the carriage off its track. I've been able to get it at least half functional so I could get the SN, but nothing else will be happening until I get a new can of PB B'laster and try to get some screws and bolts moving.

First typewriter bought in 6/2023, now at over 30 in my collection with most recorded in the galleries. There's a special place in my heart for Smith-Coronas, blue typewriters, and typewriters from 1964 (my parents' birth year). Prefer manuals to electrics, portables to ultra portables or desktops, but will head home with anything if it's cheap enough and functional/repairable. I've successfully gifted typewriters to two siblings, a best friend, and an in-law. Keeping up with my lifelong tradition of making and repairing by hand. When not typing or working on a typewriter, I'm often reading, gardening (vegetable), preserving harvests (canning, dehydrating, freezing), knitting, sewing, writing letters/short stories, or shooting film photography. I like the slow, analog life.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal KMM on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal KMM By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
