Description:
The last of the "Noisy Noiseless" machines. This one was purchased off CL in a sad, dirty, and broken condition. I didn't expect to enjoy the mechanism as much as I do, but I liked it so much that I invested in new feet and a new JJ Short platen and feed rollers. The action is very tight, owing to the short throw of the type slugs.
This machine's name is "Tux."
Upon further review, I'm going to bump this down to a 1940 model instead of a 1941.
