Description:
Remington (labeled "Remington Rand") Model 17 ("Model Seventeen). In very good condition. First typewriter in my collection. If my first was in rougher condition I may not have bought more... Elite font (12cpi).
Does not have many fancy features. The margins are controlled by a metal slider in the back. This is more annoying than the front margin controls on the Underwood, or the "Magic Margin" controls on the Royal. However, it's been functioning reliably since I obtained it, and has needed very little work on my part.
Upon closer inspection, the typeface includes the "hatted 8" with the short line on the top right side of the "8".

Relatively new to collecting. Would like to document my collection.
Planning on sticking to full-sized American machines so I don't spend too much on fancy European portables.
