Description:
What a weird little machine. At 821360, this Royal O is about one year and 50k typewriters AFTER the Royal O was supposedly discontinued. Something seemed off about it even before checking the serial numbers: the glass keytops have a feel unlike other Royal Os and Ps of the day. Weird.
Anyway, I got this Royal O in June of 2024 as part of a lot of typewriters purchased from fellow typewriter enthusiast Sheryl Oring, Dean of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal O on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal O By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
