Description:
Purchased from an online auction with rudimentary pictures. Wasn't expecting much. When I picked it up, the case was battered, but when I took it home and opened it up, I was stunned. Aside from a few light scratches on some of the keys and modest layer of grim (almost like cigarette smoke had seeped into the case while it was being stored), which came right off with mild soap and water, it was in like new condition. Seriously. Even the platen rubber and feet are soft. If I didn't know what year it was and when it was made, I'd swear it was only 5 years old or so. In thirty or so typewriters I've purchased, this is easily the one in the best condition I've ever seen. Just goes to show, you don't ever know.
