Description:
I found this 1939 Continental Standard along the banks of the Susquehanna River in December, 2017, not far from the Three Mile Island Nuclear Power Plant. It was gummed-up completely solid, and had bits of a plastic cover effectively melted all over the paper table and other points of contact. It took quite a bit of work to get it all loosened-up and working again, but it is really an amazing writing machine. I believe this one came from Europe soon after World War II as a war trophy.
