Description:
...also known as the noisy noiseless. Very similar type action but the type bars are not counterweighted so strike the platen with a very slight amount more force. Of interest are the dead key accents on this. It also has hand set tabs via a rail on the rear. Key comb and feet have been cleaned and replaced respectively. A very stately looking machine.

I'm an opportunistic collector and user. Yep, I have a habit, but I'm in control, OK?
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington Model 1 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington Model 1 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
