1934 Remington Noiseless 10 Serial # X306094 1934 Remington Noiseless 10 typewriter, Serial # X306094 Plante and Doole-Fisher Typewriters's 1934 Remington Noiseless 10 typewriter. 2018-08-01 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Plante and Doole-Fisher Typewriters: 1934 Remington Noiseless 10 Serial # X306094 Even though this 1934 Remington Noiseless Standard Model 10 appears to be in very good condition, the typewriter sadly suffered catastrophic damage when it was dropped onto a concrete floor. The frame is cracked by the left shift-spring, which has buckled the escapement and damaged the carriage mountings. Besides that the entire type-bar mechanism and basket have shifted within the mechanism. If you look closely at the provided photograph taken from beneath the machine look up down it's side, you will see how horribly warped the machine itself actually is. Besides that the shift-mechanism split, and the right shift-leaver sheared off. In the photos the typewriter is already partially disassembled, but I wanted to add it to the Typewriter Database prior to complete disassembly so we at least have a record of this casualty. It is what it is.
