Description:
A rare sight on this side of the ocean! This Hermes 4 was found online in Brooklyn, NY in October, 2023. In corresponding with the seller--and thinking that the odds I would get this machine were slim--I mentioned that I was a professor at Villanova University. As it turns out, the seller was ALSO a professor at Villanova, who lived in Brooklyn and commutes to the suburbs west of Philadelphia! She was of Swiss descent, and brought this family heirloom over from Switzerland herself. I will keepsake this machine in my office collection, which is two flights downstairs from her!

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Hermes 4 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Hermes Serial Number page and the Hermes 4 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
