This was the first typewriter I ever did any real repair work on. I replaced a broken typebar linkage with a thick paperclip (I was 15) and amazingly it only just recently failed.

I bought this Remie Scout with Roman typeface at an antique store in Knoxville, TN, in about 2014-2015. This was the first typewriter I ever did any real repair work on. I replaced a broken typebar linkage with a thick paperclip (I was 15) and amazingly it only just recently failed.
