Description:
This is a great little machine, which I believe is a very early Remington Junior. It is styled like a Model 3, but the features are minimal just like the Junior. It has no tabulator, ribbon selector, or right-hand carriage release lever. It does not bear the mark "Junior", but only says "Remington" across the raised front lip.
Richard Polt's site states that some Juniors only say "Remington", and this machine's serial number matches the Junior pattern: S150046. This would make it one of the very first Juniors produced, in the inaugural year of 1933.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington Junior on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington Junior By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
