Description:
This is a Smith-Corona rebranded as a Corona Model S. It is an early 1933 and has the medallion on the top cover.
I have a black one from 1933 with a later serial number that has no medallion. It could prove that the medallion was phased out during 1933.
Swedish keyboard.

I have always liked to write, in younger years on typewriters and then I continued into the computer era. Today I work as a technical writer on a big swedish company and I use mainly computers, but sometimes some jobs require work on a typewriter and these days are truly days of working joy !
In the last years I have found my way back to the typewriters, finding that with them I produce texts with more soul and depth.
I collect swedish machines only as I want to be able to actually use all my machines when writing in native language. Swedish keyboards consist of three special characters åäö, which I am very fond of. I have a special interest in fonts, typefaces and character layout as well.
And I do have a special place in my heart for Coronas :-)
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Corona S on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Corona Serial Number page and the Corona S By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
