Description:
Till now, this is the lowest serial number example of the model in the Database.
Is a beautiful machine, According Mr. Richard Polt's classification it is an open frame, double case model, with carrying case, just left shift, no backspace, return lever, spools held in position by means of a pair of nuts and just one adjustable left margin (no right margin at all). Black keys with lowercase lettering (yes, the keys are lowercase, despite this is a double case model. Why the lettering is not upcase, then, remains a mistery for me).
Take a look at the beautiful (IMHO) typeface of this typewriter.
You need to raise the typebar in order to use the typewriter, by means of a lever on the right side.
In the move, it is very light and you can achieve high typing speeds (assume you use both hands and every finger to write with).
Everywhere this typewriter exhudes "depression years". It is obviously a cheap Reminigton model.
I feel happy I was able to find it (at a very low price) in a local website. Even in Ebay they don'c came frequently to auction.
