1932 Orga Privat 5 Serial # 159419 1932 Orga Privat 5 typewriter, Serial # 159419 Mark Schrad's 1932 Orga Privat 5 typewriter. 2023-10-05 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Mark Schrad: 1932 Orga Privat 5 Serial # 159419 I've always wanted an Orga Privat since seeing half of one in Willy Wonka's office in the chocolate factory. This one was from the Bob Aubert collection of Delran, NJ (August, 2023). It needed quite a bit of cleaning, and the plating on the typebars is a little flaky, but otherwise makes for a nice specimen. It was likely a war trophy, given the Munich dealer shop on the front, and "Fred's Typewriter Service" from some still-unknown American location on the back.
