1932 Imperial Good Companion Serial # B923 1932 Imperial Good Companion typewriter, Serial # B923 Jonathan Sprung's 1932 Imperial Good Companion typewriter. 2023-01-03 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Jonathan Sprung: 1932 Imperial Good Companion Serial # B923 I bought this machine at auction, and it took some care to clean up. It is an early model Good Companion, with an odd flat carriage return, and a bakelite top shell that I didn't want to mess with too much, as I didn't want to lose the decal. It did not have the royal seal. A very snappy typer, that is mechanically sound.

I have been collecting typewriters all my life, starting with a 1980's Brother Charger 11 (which I no longer have, but have replaced with an identical machine). I have well over 60 typewriters now, with a few rare portables. Some are interesting or odd, but most of mine are common machines.

My wife and I have made a deal, that I can keep buying typewriters if she can keep buying shoes. Fair enough! *shrugs*
