Description:
This will only type for half a line before being stopped by the rubber bands on the right side in place to facilitate any typing at all!
But as the typeface is so small, I can still crank out a narrow letter on it.
No case, as it was donated to my other Portable 2, but I do have the Guarantee, dated.
It seems to me that the EC prefix refers to the postcode of the factory in London where it was built.
I often see these British built machines with undated/ripped/defaced guarantees so it is nice to find this.
New feet made from nuts and bolts and plumbing washers.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington Portable on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington Portable By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
