Description:
Super fun little machine. The action on this typewriter is really snappy and I would actually compare it favorably - if not rate it above - that of some of my more modern machines of a similar "ultraportable" size. And of course, it's parlor trick - Remington's retractable typebars - just makes it interesting.
It definitely has a few quirks - the lack of a left-hand platen knob and carriage return arm being the most obvious, but also a line advance system that requires one to pinch a small lever located behind the carriage's left side. The margin release is located in a similar position and not an immediately obvious feature since the machine does not have a margin release key.
This one is in good cosmetic shape but needed a new draw band and some additional adjustments to get working. The platen could also stand a replacement but overall, it is a good typing machine and a lot of fun to use.
