Das ist meine Remington Portable 2 aus Dem Jahre 1931. Sie ist in einem recht guten Zustand. Ich habe sie gereinigt, frisch geölt und die Chromteile aufpoliert.
Es ist eine relativ besondere Maschine, da sie eine Exportvariante ist und nicht die Standardvariante der portable zwei, welche Man zum Großteil in den USA und Amerika findet. Diese ist eine Version, welche für, soweit ich weiß, Deutschland und ich glaube Österreich oder die Schweiz noch gebaut wurde, da sie eine QWERTZ Tastatur hat. Außerdem hat sie einen schwarzen Kreusellack, was man auch nicht bei jeder beliebigen Remington Portable 2 findet.
Ich finde diese Maschine insgesamt sehr schön. Für mich hat sie ein angenehmes Schreibgefühl etwas fester, aber immer noch in einem guten Bereich. Ich habe diese Maschine bei einem Antiquitätenhändler im Erzgebirge gekauft. Sie war letztenendes auch die erste Maschine, die sich in meine Sammlung verirrt hat, als ich noch nicht einmal wusste, dass ich Irgendwann einmal anfangen will mit dem sammeln. Sie war quasi der Startpunkt.

Hello, my name is Tim Rippl and I am from Germany. I have been collecting typewriters for about a year and a half and currently have eight machines in my collection. My collection mainly focuses on German manufacturers, but I also have a American typewriter.
What fascinates me most about typewriters is their technology, history, and the many different ways in which they were designed and constructed. In my opinion, old typewriters are a great example of how creative and resourceful people could be when working with relatively simple technical means. Every machine has its own history and character, and that is what makes collecting them so interesting to me.
I look forward to continuing to expand my collection and learning more about the history and technology behind these fascinating machines.
