Description:
I bought this machine at a Flea Market.
The carriage worked very well and is very smooth to return, but some of the keys were quite gummed up. After some light cleaning it is working quite well. With some more cleaning it will be a very nice machine to use.
As crazy as it sounds, the keyboard feel and the sound of the keys reminds me of my Underwood no. 5! To add to this; when I took the side panels off, the key levers remind me of the no. 5's key levers.
Left collection on 3/19/2017.

I started collecting typewriters several years ago and it started with a late 1960s Smith-Corona Sterling portable that I got as a gift.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington 12 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington 12 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
