Description:
I am amazed that these aren't considered more collectible. I love the Bings. Their styling is exquisite, and the keys have this feel of a cheap Chinese interpretation of actual typewriter keys. And the crudity clashes with the rest of the machine. But that's part of its charm, especially as they are aluminum.
Also, the stamped sheet metal is part of the charm. No cast/pot metal here!
This one has some minor mechanical issues, but its near perfect exterior more than makes up for that. Especially as how there's almost no rust and I have both spools....

I am a typewriter collector. I'm moving into a new phase; one where I am filling gaps and paying what's necessary to get what I want....
I know I take crappy photos. I just have an older iPhone and am impatient. When I get a real camera (or borrow one), I'll upload better ones.
The ironic thing is that I am a pretty good amateur photographer. My excuse is that I work in film almost exclusively....
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Bing 2 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Bing Serial Number page and the Bing 2 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
