Description:
Spotted this unique Remington last week at an antique store that I have been in before, but have not been to in a few years. It appears to be a 'mil' machine as it only types in capitals.
It is pretty rough, but it was interesting to note that my grandfather almost bought it to use as a display piece, however the seller still wanted more than he wanted to spend.

I started collecting typewriters several years ago and it started with a late 1960s Smith-Corona Sterling portable that I got as a gift.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington 12 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington 12 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
