Description:
This woodgrain 1928 Royal P portable typewriter was found in Audubon, New Jersey in May of 2020. The previous owners found it in the attic of the house they'd bought twenty years earlier, and knew nothing of its origins beyond that. At some point, it appears to have had Smith-Corona-style keys installed. It needed a thorough cleaning and tune-up, but the decals and the woodgrain finish are in remarkably good shape.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal P on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal P By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
