Description:
The first of two Remington Portable No. 2 that I bought. It was missing its line feed lever, so I bought another for parts which turned out to be too good to scrap. This was instead completed via a parts supplier. It works very well. As I didn't need two, it was given to my sister's family as a gift.
Note yes, I made a mistake on the typeface sample, the 3 and # should be switched.

I started collecting in late 2024 but I have caught the bug in a big way. I already have 30 typewriters, none newer than the 1940s, most 1920s or older. Most I'm restoring as best as I can, but I'm having some "fun" with a few. I have started a YouTube channel where I can share my experience of these restoration/other projects at https://youtube.com/@DynamicallyTyped
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington Portable 2 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington Portable 2 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
